BUDGET REPORTS

5.1.1

Paramedic Services Draft 2022 Budget [Financial Impact - $246,671 Operating Budget increase], 2021-640

• 1. THAT report 2021-640 titled Paramedic Services Draft 2022 Budget BE RECEIVED; and
  2. THAT Staff BE DIRECTED to prepare a letter for delivery to the County of Brant prior to November 1, 2021 which includes the following comments and concerns respecting the draft 2022 paramedic services budget:
     1. The increase to the budget significantly exceeds inflation and the City Council budget target;
     2. The draft budget has not included the required capital contribution for the purchase of an ambulance and should be amended prior to approval; and
     3. Such other matters as deemed appropriate by the City Treasurer.

ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

5.2.1

Amend Fees and Charges By-law 52-2021 Early Approval of 2022 Fees [Financial Impact – Estimates $849,670 Increase in Revenue], 2021-644

• 1. THAT Report 2021-644 regarding Amendments to Fees and Charges By-law 52-2021 for early approval of 2022 fees BE RECEIVED; and
  2. THAT a By-law to repeal and replace Schedule 1 of Fees and Charges By-law 52-2021 to provide early approval of certain 2022 Fees as outlined in Appendix B of 2021-644 BE PRESENTED to City Council for adoption.
