Items 5.1, 5.3 5.5 were separated and voted on individually. The following items were not separated for discussion purposes and were approved:

Re: Item 5.1 CSSD Vision Plan [Financial Impact: None], 2022-496

the vision Marlene Miranda, General Manager, Community Services & Social Development, and Sue Evenden, Director of Family & Income Stability appeared before the Committee and provided an overview of the Staff Report on Item 5.1. A PowerPoint presentation was made and a copy placed in the meeting file. The presentation provided an overview of the types of roles and responses that the CSSD department plans to provide.

Staff answered various questions from the Committee. 

    1. THAT report 2022-420 CSSD Vision Plan BE RECEIVED;
    2. THAT the CITY Clerk BE DIRECTED to forward a copy of the final resolution and staff report to the County of Brant.

    1. THAT report 2022-210 Trillium Way Paris New Development Update 2022 BE RECEIVED; and
    2. THAT the City Clerk BE DIRECTED to forward a copy of the final resolution and staff report to the County of Brant.
    1. THAT Report 2022-273 Municipal Affordable Housing Development Incentives Update BE RECEIVED; and
    2. THAT the City Clerk BE DIRECTED to forward a copy of the final resolution and staff report to the County of Brant.
    1. THAT Report (2022-362) Housing Stability Services and Reaching Home Update Report BE RECEIVED; and
    2. THAT staff BE DIRECTED to implement immediate recommendations as listed in Table 2: Recommendations for Immediate Implementation of the report; and
    3. THAT the City Clerk BE DIRECTED to forward a copy of the final resolution and staff report to the County of Brant.
    1. THAT staff report 2022-386 "Building Our Community from the Kids Up: EarlyON Update”, BE RECEIVED; and
    2. THAT Council APPROVE the non-competitive award to Six Nations of the Grand River for EarlyON Child and Family Centre drop-in and virtual programs for an upset limit not to exceed $386,000 (exclusive of HST); and
    3. THAT the Director of Community Programs and Social Development and the Manager of Purchasing BE AUTHORIZED to execute a contract as required with Six Nations of the Grand River; and
    4. THAT the City Clerk BE DIRECTED to forward a copy of the final resolution and staff report to the County of Brant.
