Chair Martin called the meeting to order and roll call was confirmed.

City Budget Priorities Survey Presentation

 

Maria Visocchi, Director of Communications, Community Engagement and Customer Service, appeared before the Estimates Committee and provided an overview of the City Budget Priorities survey. A PowerPoint Presentation was made and a copy was placed in the meeting folder.

Matthew Arp, Research Assistant at Laurier Institute for the Study of Public Opinion and Policy, made himself available for questions from the Committee.

    THAT the position of Material Handler for 2025 BE ADDED only if it results in a net-zero impact to the ratepayer.

    1. THAT Report 2024-6 titled “Climate and Environmental Impact for Public Works Commission 2024-2027 Capital Budget Projects” BE RECEIVED; and
    2. THAT staff BE DIRECTED to report on emissions from capital projects as part of the year-end climate action report.
